Tori is a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who earned both her Bachelor’s degree (2016) and Master’s degree (2018) in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University. Since becoming an SLP, she has continued to expand her knowledge through a variety of continuing education courses, including Play-Based Speech Therapy, the Meaningful Speech Gestalt Language Processing course, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Sensory-Based Interventions, Neurodiversity-affirming practices, and the Coaching Model for parent and caregiver support. She also has practical experience with AAC systems such as LAMP Words for Life and TouchChat, supporting children in finding the best way to express themselves.
Tori has a special interest in working with minimally verbal or non-verbal children, children on the Autism Spectrum, early intervention (birth to age 3), preschoolers, and AAC users. She is passionate about creating individualized, play-based, and family-centered therapy that helps each child reach their full communication potential. Her approach is rooted in connection, collaboration, and honoring each child’s unique communication style.
